Third Line Dilemma

The Third Line Dilemma refers to the mechanical nature of the 3rd Line, which is based on Trial and Error. Its process is to discover what does not work by “bumping into things.”

For the Not-Self, this process is experienced as making mistakes and personal failure, leading to pessimism. In truth, this is the essential mutative process that challenges old forms and allows for discovery.

For a Sixth Line Being, the first 30 years of life are lived out through this trial and error mechanic, which is crucial for building the wisdom they will embody later in life.
